Activities from 5:00-6:30pm
Auction will begin at 6:45pm
Activities include: Engraving necklaces ($1 each), personalized ornaments (1/$4 or 2/$6), painting ornaments ($1), pictures with Santa Claus ($5), make your own Christmas Slime ($2), pork sandwiches, potatoes, slaw, hot dogs, dessert, sweet shop, craft table, Nintendo Switch raffle, and door prizes. Items to be auctioned will include various Christmas decorations and gift baskets, including 2 tickets for the Big Ten Championship football game and an autographed Urban Meyer football.
The Active Acorns meeting featured the entertaining and energetic Community Health Nurse Dawn Richards, RN from Southern Ohio Medical Center. She talked to the students about healthy choices, relaxation techniques, and exercise. Dawn does an amazing job, and she loves visiting the Active Acorns each year. Southern Ohio Medical Center is a co-sponsor of the Active Acorns Club. October 2018
Oak Hill High School is having a Blood Drive on Tuesday, November 20 from 9:00am till 2:30pm in the middle school gymnasium. Congratulations to 5th grader Ashton Sturgill, the first student to reach 25 miles walked in the OHES Walking Oaks Club for the 2018-2019 school year. Ashton was the top-miler last year, reaching over 250 miles walked, and his goal is to beat his record this year. The Walking Oaks Club is co-sponsored by the Jackson County Health Department and Southern Ohio Medical Center. October 2018
