Mr. Randy Layton, Principal of Oak Hill High School, has announced the honor graduates for the Class of 2018. The valedictorians of this year’s graduating class are Mr. Cole Hanning, Ms. Morgan Hubbard, Mr. Daniel Stewart, and Ms. Bailey Ward, and the salutatorian is Mr. Mitchell Hale. Oak Hill Seniors graduated Friday, May 18, 2018.
Cole is the son of Scott & Dayleen Hanning. His school activities are Varsity Baseball, Varsity Football (captain), Bass Fishing Team.. He is also a member of High Q, National Honor Society, and FFA. Cole also attends Elevate Ministries of Jackson. Mr. Hanning will be attending Wright State University with plans of receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Morgan is the daughter of Denver and Valerie Hubbard. She is a member of National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Yearbook, High-Q, and Student Council. Morgan is also involved in the Tri-M Music Honor Society. Ms. Hubbard plans to attend Shawnee State University and major in Radiologic Technology.
Daniel is the son of Tom & Paula Stewart. His school activities are Varsity Football and Varsity Track. He is also a member of High Q, National Honor Society, Student Council, and FFA. Daniel is also involved in 4-H, Farm Bureau, and Victory Grange. Mr. Stewart will be attending Ohio University and major in accounting.
Bailey is the daughter of Bruce Ward and Rebecca Adkins. Her school activities are Cross County, Track, Cheerleading, and Basketball. She is a member of National Honor Society, High Q, and FFA. Bailey is also involved with 4-H, Jackson County Junior Leaders, Junior Fairboard, and Jackson-Vinton Farm Bureau. Ms. Ward will attend The Ohio State University for a degree in Animal Science or Wright State University for a bachelors in Biological Sciences. After earning her degree she would like to attend The Ohio State University to earn a Doctorate in veterinary medicine. After graduating, her goal is to open her own clinic in Oak Hill.
Mitchell is the son of Michael & Joy Hale. His school activities are Varsity Basketball and Bass Team. He is also a member of National Honor Society, FFA, Library Club, Senior Prom Committee, and Business Professionals of America. Mitchell is a member of Liberty Baptist Youth. Mr. Hale plans on attending University of Rio Grande majoring in the Health Science field.
