On the evening of October 4, 2013 the following tribute was paid to the Evan Davis Family:
Welcome to Oak Hill High School DAVIS STADIUM…. Tonight is the 40th regular season football game played on the field at this fabulous stadium. This field has been the setting for numerous school and community events over the past eight years. No one would argue that Davis Stadium is one of the finest facilities in the state and it has been the site of all levels of athletic competition from youth league to State Football Playoffs and District Track meets hosting over sixty track teams from across the state. Without the generosity of the Evan Davis Family these facilities at Oak Hill High School could never have materialized. The impact of Davis Stadium is far reaching and benefits a wide variety of students including those students who participate in the Marching Oaks Band, Varsity Football, JV Football, Junior High Football, Youth League Football, Varsity and Junior High Track, Varsity, JV and Junior High Cheerleaders and with the current construction Varsity and JV Baseball will soon be playing on a new field on the Oak Hill High School Campus, again thanks to the generosity of the Evan Davis Family.
