Math Team Competes

mathcomp16Oak Hill High School sent a team to compete at the Marshall University Mathematics Competition on May 10, 2016. Pictured (L-R) Carlee Dempsey, Tyler Rice, and Abbi Hubbard.  There were 60 competitors from 20 schools vying for cash prizes.

FFA National Convention

ffa louisville2On October 29th through November 2nd, the city of Louisville, Kentucky hosted the 86th National FFA Convention and Expo.  FFA students from all of over the United States, including Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, attended the convention.  Louisville will serve as the host city for the next three years.  Many of the convention events were held at the Kentucky Exposition Center, where students were able to visit different vendors and tents that included many schools with Ag-related career choices for college.

Canter Competes in Boston

tyler win16Congratulations to Tyler Canter who placed in the top 5 at the BPA State Leadership Conference in the Advanced Spreadsheet contest. He went on to compete at the National Leadership Conference in Boston, MA which was held May 5-9, 2016.

FFA Recognized by Board

ffa nov13At its November 2013 meeting, the Board of Education recognized the FFA Officers and Mr. Matt Bennett of the Vocational Agriculture Department who discussed their trip to Louisville for the 86th National FFA Convention & Expo.

Students Attend BPA Conference

Emma Tyler AJ MichaelEmma Jordan, Tyler Canter, AJ Meldick, and Michael Hays attended the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference in Columbus, Ohio along with their teacher Tammy Roush. Close to 1,700 students competed at this year's SLC.
