Mr. Randy Layton, Principal of Oak Hill High School, has announced the honor graduates for the Class of 2022. The valedictorians of this year’s graduating class are Mr. Aydan Adkins, Ms. Emma Bartram, Ms. Macie Blackburn, Ms. Chloe Chambers, Ms. Brenna Davis, Ms. Faith Evans, Ms. Brooke Howard, Mr. Quinton Lewis, and Mr. Levi Lyons. The salutatorians are Ms. Abby Lewis and Mr. Garrett McNerlin.
OHHS Seniors graduated at Davis Stadium on Friday, May 20th.
Aydan Adkins is the son of Jason and Rebekah Adkins. His school activities are National Honor Society, Quiz Bowl, and four years Girls Varsity Basketball Manager. Mr. Adkins plans to attend San Diego State University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in global business while studying abroad and traveling.
Emma Bartram is the daughter of Scott and Kelly Bartram and Jared and Lou Potter. Her school activities are National Honor Society, Beta Club from previous high school, and CCP student at the University of Rio Grande. She is also a member of Rodney Pike Church of God. Ms. Bartram plans to pursue nursing at the University of Rio Grande and eventually become a Nurse Practitioner.
Macie Blackburn is the daughter of Yvonne and Michael Blackburn. Her school activities are National Honor Society, Honors Choir, Choir, High Q, Varsity Volleyball, Student Council, and Drug Free Club of America. She is also a member of Old Country Church Tabernacle. Ms. Blackburn plans to attend Ohio University to earn a four year degree.
Chloe Chambers is the daughter of Charles and Rachel Chambers. Her school activities are Varsity Basketball, Varsity Volleyball, National Honor Society, and Drug Free Club of America. She is also involved in 4-H and SCBC Basketball Club. Ms. Chambers plans to obtain a bachelor’s degree and dual licensure in Elementary Education and Intervention at the University of Rio Grande or Shawnee State University.
Brenna Davis is the daughter of Brad and Rachel Davis. Her school activities are National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America, Varsity Softball Team, High Q, Quiz-bowl Team, Art Club, student athletic trainer, and Drug Free Club of America. Ms. Davis plans to major in Marine Biology and minor in photography, videography, and oceanography. Brenna’s ultimate goal is to travel the world, help clean the ocean/beaches, and find a job that excites her every day.
Faith Evans is the daughter of Daniel and Zella Evans. Her school activities are FFA – Report Officer, National Honor Society – Officer, and Student Council Treasurer. She also is a member at Gallia Baptist Church. Ms. Evans plans to attend the University of Rio Grande to obtain an associate degree in Respiratory Therapy.
Brooke Howard is the daughter of Timothy and Josie Howard. Her school activities include Varsity Basketball, Varsity Volleyball, Varsity Track and Field, and National Honor Society. She is also a member of an AAU Basketball team and church youth group. Ms. Howard plans to attend the University of Cincinnati to major in business with a minor in finance.
Quinton Lewis is the son of Cory and Jessica Lewis. His school activities are National Honor Society, FFA Club, BBQ Team, and Choir. He is also a member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church. Mr. Lewis is planning on being in the United States Marine Corps.
Levi Lyons is the son of Lance and Stephanie Lyons. His school activities are FFA, National Honor Society, Cross Country, and the BBQ Team. He is also a member of Oak Hill Faith United Methodist Church. Mr. Lyons plans to attend Ohio University and obtain a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Abby Lewis is the daughter of Richard and Holly Lewis. Her school activities are FFA and National Honor Society. She is also a 4-H member. Ms. Lewis plans to obtain a 4-year bachelor’s degree at Morehead State University to become a veterinary technician.
Garrett McNerlin is the son of Bill and Julie McNerlin. His school activities are ESports, Art Club, and National Honor Society. Mr. McNerlin plans to graduate from college and do animation full time.
