Kids Heart Challenge
Oak Hill Elementary School participated in the American Heart Association Kids Heart Challenge. When students joined the team, they learned how to keep their hearts and brains healthy, get moving with fun activities, meet kids with special hearts and raise funds for the health of all hearts. Walking Oaks
Congratulations to Oak Hill Elementary 3rd grader Charlee Lester for achieving 150 miles walked in the OHES Walking Oaks Club. She received a fitness tracker. Charlee has reclaimed the lead for most miles walked among club members. The Walking Oaks Club is sponsored by The Ohio Valley Bank Company this school year. February 2023
Snack Attack Recipe Contest
Congratulations to the following winners who submitted a recipe for the 2023 OHES “Snack Attack” Cookbook. Front: Olivia Merrill, Bradley Moore, and Noah Snyder. Back: Hannah Fowble, Parker Moore, Wyatt Blakeman, Elisabeth McCarty, and Laira McIntosh. Each of the 40 participants in the recipe contest received a copy of the cookbook as well. Poster Contest Winners
Nurse Lloyd sponsored a healthy hygiene poster contest for OHES students in Preschool, Kindergarten, and 1st grades, with the theme “This Is How We Sink The Stink.” Sixty-six students participated and the winners are Zaydon Conley, Zander Conley, Rylee Bryant, Jordyn Moore, Madelynn Strickland, and Jaxon Bryant.
