The Active Acorns Fall Team had its first meeting and welcomed special guest Dawn Richards, Community Health Nurse from Southern Ohio Medical Center. The students, as always, enjoyed Dawn’s presentation about healthier living. There are 87 students enrolled in the Active Acorns this year, with a Fall Team and a Winter Team to accommodate the volume of students. The Active Acorns activities are made possible by grants from Southern Ohio Medical Center and Holzer Health Systems. October 2017

Oak Hill Elementary School would like to thank Grant Lambert, a current 4th grade student, for the new water fountain on the playground. Grant made a presentation to the Oak Hill Board of Education during the 2016-2017 school year. Grant's great idea and hard work led to the installation of a water fountain. Installation was completed over the summer by Randy Evans Construction.
