Guidelines for Scholarship Selection:

  • The Student must be accepted and enrolled in school no later than the Fall Session of next school year (Fall 2019).
  • The Student's academic achievement (grade point and class rank) will be taken into consideration.
  • The Student must show financial need.
  • The Student should demonstrate service to school and community.

American Welding Scholarship

2019 American Welding Society/Columbus Section Scholarship

Scholarship opportunities with the American Welding Society for the pursuit of careers in Welding, Welding Technology, and Welding Engineering.

The Columbus Section is offering $10,750 (likely divided among several awards) to students within our section's boundaries (22 Ohio counties including Jackson County).

Additionally, there are District Scholarships and National Scholarships with varying awards available through the AWS Foundation; full information is available at http://www.aws.org/foundation/ .

Hope Scholarship

2019 Blanche and Thomas Hope Scholarship

The Blanche and Thomas Hope Scholarship assists high school seniors residing in designated areas in Ohio and Kentucky, who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Renewable scholarship are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student's choice.

Application Information:  Interested students must complete the application and mail it along with a current, complete transcript of grades to Blanche and Thomas Hope Scholarship, Scholarship America, One Scholarship Way, Saint Peter, MN 56082.

Rumpke Scholarship

2019 Rumpke Scholarship

Amount: $1,000


Graduating seniors in Jackson County, Ohio pursuing a two or four year degree at an accredited institution after graduation are eligible.

How to Apply: 

To apply, submit completed applications and responses to Rumpke at: The Rumpke Scholarship of Jackson County, Attn: Anne Gray, 5535 Vine Street, Cincinnati, OH 45217. Mailed applications must be postmarked by March 1, 2019 to be considered.

2019 Foundation for Applachian Ohio Scholarship Opportunities

The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO) is pleased to announce the availablility of post-secondary opportunities from donor established funds within FAO, many honoring the legacy of a friend or loved one.

Information regarding scholarships, eligibility and application guidelines can be downloaded in .pdf format from the Foundation's website, www.appalachianohio.org.

Deadline: Scholarship applications may be mailed or emailed to the Foundation. Mailed applications must be postmarked by March 15, 2019, and scanned and emailed applications must be received by March 15, 2019.

  • The AK Steel Foundation Student Scholastic Award for Science, Technology, Math and Engineering with a particular emphasis on metallurgy.
  • The Ora E. Anderson Scholarship for students pursuing studies associated with natural sciences.
  • The Bob Evans and Wayne F. White Legacy Scholarship for students pursuing any post-secondary studies.

Some Geographic Specific Opportunities:

  • The Bellisio Foods Scholarship for children and grandchildren of Bellisio employees.
