2018 Gary W. Snyder Memorial Scholarship

The Gary W. Snyder Memorial Scholarship Program is an ongoing program available to graduating seniors attending high school in Jackson, Pike, Ross or Scioto County who are interested in pursuing higher education at Shawnee State University.                               

Under the program, a one-time scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded up to five students upon acceptance/enrollment at Shawnee State University. The scholarship money will be paid directly to Shawnee State University into the students' accounts.

2018 Ohio State Delta Theta Sigma Fraternity Scholarship

The alumni and active members of Delta Theta Sigma fraternity on the Columbus campus of The Ohio State University are proud to offer scholarships for incoming male freshmen students fall semester regardless of major . 

Over $10,000 will be offered in this program. These scholarships are offered to male students enrolling at main campus-Columbus.

Delta Theta Sigma is a professional agricultural fraternity dedicated to the promotion of the following principals as set forth by the founders of Delta Theta Sigma: The promotion of agriculture / Securing a high degree of scholarship / Fostering the spirit of brotherhood / Assisting in social, behavioral, and cultural development of our members.

2018 Junior Altrurian Women's League (JAWL) Community Service Scholarship

The chosen recipient(s) of this scholarship will be someone who:

  • Shows concern for others by identifying needs and working to meet them.
  • Finds a way to improve life for those around them.
  • Sets a positive examples for others and have the personal fortitude and integrity to do what is right, even if in the minority.

The application must include an essay that shares the community service projects that you have participated in during your high school years and how they have impacted you and your community.

Class of 2018 Kiwanis Club Scholarship

(Sponsored by The Kiwanis Club of the Jackson Area)

Award: $1,200 one-time award to an OHHS senior!

Qualifications:

  • Any interested graduating senior student with a GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Have been accepted to an accredited college/university for the Fall of 2018

This award will be based on a combination of academic achievement and community service.
