Sportsman Federation Scholarship

2019 Jackson County Sportsman Federation Scholarship

(In Memory of Eric L. Shipman)

  • $1,000 & $500 College Scholarship for a Jackson County High School Senior
  • Open to any Major and College
  • Awarded by Essay

Requirements for the Scholarship:

  1. Complete an essay describing a hunting, fishing, trapping or outdoor experience you have had.
  2. Must attach a copy of your Ohio Hunting or Fishing License or Hunter Education Card to the application.
  3. Return packet (application, essay and copy of Ohio Hunting or Fishing License or Hunter Education Card) to: Lee Can Allen, 2839 Whaleytown Road, Jackson, OH 45640.
  4. Packet must be postmarked by April 1, 2019

15 Scholarships are being offered to Ohio Seniors!

  • The Scholarship award amount is $4,000 per year.
  • Scholarships are renewable - for a total of up to $16,000!

The LEADS! Scholarship is a partnership between OMACCS and its member schools to provide much needed assistance to high school graduates in Ohio and Michigan.

E.B. Miller Scholarship

2019 E.B. Miller Memorial Scholarship

Sponsored by the Ohio Forestry Association

The purpose of the OFA Memorial Scholarship is to provide assistance toward forest resource education to quality students. Funds awarded may be used to pay or defray the cost of tuition, room, board, and/or laboratory fees.

Eligibility:  To be eligible for this scholarship grant, the applicant must be:

  • An Ohio resident
  • U.S. citizen
  • High school graduate accepted for admission to an approved college or university, junior college, or technical college with a two-year minimum program in forest resource education.

Selection: Selection of grant/scholarship recipients will be made by the Scholarship Committee of the Ohio Forestry Association Foundation. Preference will be given to students attending Ohio Colleges and Universities.
