Matthew earned a water bottle and Chloe earned a new watch for their efforts. Great job, students! 2019 Souper Bowl Food Drive

souper8 2019The 2019 OHES Souper Bowl Food Drive for the Growing Oaks Food Program and the Oak Hill Food Pantry was conducted, and the students and staff collected 3,020 food items for donation. The winning class with the largest donation was Philip Malone's 5th grade class, and they won a donut party for their efforts.

Active Acorns & OAKS Meet

He discussed principles from the “Stop the Bleed” program, as well as other first aid tips for students. The students really enjoyed his presentation and asked many questions.     October 2018

Active Acorns Winter Session

aa jan19 2The Active Acorns Winter Team had their first meeting with Krav Maga instructor Scott King as first guest. The students learned about self defense, especially that the best defense is to not to be in the situation at all! Scott has visited the Acorns six times now, and his presentations get more hands-on and more informative each time. The Active Acorns is sponsored by the Jackson County Health Department, Holzer Health Systems, and private donor Wendi Waugh.     January 2019

Walking Oaks Achievers
