Active Acorns Learn Self Defense

2020 Active Acorns Winter TeamThe 2020 Active Acorns Winter Team welcomed one of its very favorite presenters, Scott King, to the February 19th meeting. The students enjoy learning Krav Maga, which is a terrific self-defense program for the students to know in today’s world. Scott not only taught them useful techniques, but also got the Acorns up and moving. Walking Oaks Club

Third grader Quentin Chambers (L) reached 25 miles walked, third grader Zachary Swann (R) reached 50 miles walked, and fifth grader Zoey French (C) continued her dedication to walking and has achieved 300 miles walked since the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. Dawn has been coming to Active Acorns meetings for the past 6 years, and the students always enjoy her fun and informative presentations.
