Active Acorns Field Trip
The OHES Active Acorns Fitness Club went on a field trip to Southern Ohio Gymnastics Academy in Gallipolis, Ohio. The members enjoyed the variety of equipment and activities the gym had to offer. The Active Acorns Fitness Club educates students in grades 3-5 on various ways to get at least 60 minutes of physical activity per day. Click for larger view.

100-Day Walkers
Congratulations to 5th grade students Makayla Borghese (L) and Alexis Weese (R), both of whom have achieved 100 days walked in the OHES Walking Oaks Club. For their achievements, they received a tote bag. Both girls are motivated to continue walking until the end of the school year. Great job Makayla and Alexis!

March Into Wellness
Oak Hill Elementary had a contest entitled "March Into Wellness!" Students and their families filled out a short questionnaire about healthy habits they have adopted at home. A random prize drawing was done from the 156 entries, and the winners were: Front (L-R) Christian Burcham, Alec McGuire, and Chloe Coon. The Active Acorns Fitness Club had a poster contest for members with the theme "Serving Up My Plate!"
